Please join in and help support The Gambino Medical & Science Foundation’s latest $5,000,000 pledge to establish and install the Frances and Thomas Gambino Endowed Chair / Professorship in Psychiatry and to support the Pediatric and Adolescent Psychiatry project at Cohen Children’s Medical Center.
Our 31st Annual Golf Outing will be at the beautiful Sands Point Golf Club in Sands Point, NY, which is our most popular and well-attended fundraising event. Breakfast and lunch are provided, followed by a gala dinner party, awards and prize presentations, and a silent auction featuring golf trips, valuable memorabilia, fine wine collections, and much more.

Programs Supported by the Gambino Medical & Science Foundation
The Frances and Thomas Gambino Endowed Chair in Psychiatry was established by GMSF in 2024. This $5,000,000 pledge will support the Northwell Department of Psychiatry’s mission to advance diagnostics and treatments, innovation in education and improve access to effective treatment for all our communities. We have a $4,300,000 balance due remaining. Please help us complete our pledge!
The Center of Childhood Diabetes provides an integrated approach to the care and treatment of diabetes. The Gambino Medical and Science Foundation has completed its 2 year, $375,000 commitment, which supported the establishment of a center for pediatric diabetes. The center brings together medical, psychological and social services.

The Frances and Thomas Gambino Professorship in Hematology / Oncology is GMSF’s current $3,000,000 pledge providing funding for an endowment, in perpetuity, supporting a Professorship in Hematology / Oncology. This is a very important component in the fight against childhood cancer. We have a $271,000 balance due remaining. Please help us complete our pledge!
The Pediatric Epilepsy Center promotes the prevention of and advance treatment of epilepsy uses state of the art equipment to properly diagnose children with epilepsy. lotod Gambino Medical and Science Foundation has completed its 2 year, $500,000 commitment, to expand the center.

The Frances Gambino Career Development Award GMSF’s $500,000 pledge in 2025 established the Frances Gambino Career Development Award is to the Advancing Women in Science and Medicine (AWSM) at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research Program. We have a $300,000 balance due remaining. Please help us complete our pledge!
The GMSF Trauma & Imaging Center is a state of the art unit serving Long Island & has had a great impact on the Pediatric Emergency Center & the children it serves.

The Gambino Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit at Cohen Children’s Medical Center of NY since 1992 has been doing valuable work in the fight against childhood cancer and other life threatening diseases. Installed over 28 years ago, the multimillion dollar Gambino Bone MarroW Transplantation Unit is one of the most advanced in NY.
